GRANT CALL 2025
Lieto Savings Bank Foundation supports academic research with annual grants and special donations. The Foundation wants to operate close to the business sector and promote the conditions for academic research, education and training in Finland, particularly in Southwest Finland. Most of our annually awarded grants are intended for multidisciplinary research teams, but you can also apply for a grant for a doctoral thesis or postdoctoral research. As part of its annual call for grant applications, the Foundation releases a main theme and more specific sub- themes to guide the grant applications.
The main theme of the 2025 grant call was health technology.
Grants were awarded for both basic and applied research. Special attention was paid to the research offering solutions for developing and improving social welfare and healthcare systems.
The sub-themes were: healthcare processes and their cost-effectiveness, opportunities in artificial intelligence, management processes in healthcare, and the legislative environment.
In 2025, the grants will be allocated to research conducted at universities and higher education institutes in the Turku region, and mainly research teams are eligible to apply. The maximum duration for the grant is three years.
